What’s new

Just added to Litora

The latest from the workspace — built on what advocates asked for.

Try it on your own file
New

Simple mode — just chat with the file

Work in one chat per matter: drop the papers in and say what you need. The answer comes from the file with the document and page for each point, and a bigger job is offered with its price before anything is spent.

Improved

A tidier chat, with your finished work in the side menu

Six one-click jobs to start with, your finished work under each matter in the side menu, results that open as a full page — and Cancel on any job before it starts.

Improved

A clearer Issues & Burden Map

A strip of counts, the overview in full, and each issue as a row you open — who must prove it, the evidence for each side, and what is missing.

Improved

A clearer Contradiction Map

Each contradiction as one card — both passages side by side with their pages, and the question to put to the witness.

Improved

A clearer assessment page

One card with the figure, the headline and the counts — and the rest in sections: Summary, Strengths & risks, What if, Law, Questions and History.

One workspace

Everything between the bundle and the hearing

Each matter gets its own workspace. Litora reads the papers once, properly, and everything else — the assessment, the contradictions, the bench, the rehearsal, the reports — is built on that reading.

Reads the whole bundle

Scanned or typed, English, Hindi, Punjabi or Urdu. Every page transcribed and indexed, with page references you can check against the original.

Reading the bundle

Assesses the file

Where the matter is strong, where it will be attacked, the provisions engaged, the procedural points, and a reasoned estimate with its confidence shown.

Case assessment

Finds the contradictions

Times, names, places and quantities that do not agree across the FIR, the statements and the memos — each with both pages cited, ready for cross-examination.

Contradiction map

Reads the presiding judge

Ask in plain English — “does this judge grant bail where s.42 is not complied with?” — and see the answer counted from that judge’s own published judgments, each one linked.

Bench insights

Prepares you for the hearing

Reading

The file you were handed, not a cleaned-up version of it

Indian court bundles are scanned, skewed, stamped and handwritten in places. Litora transcribes every page in its own script, marks what is illegible instead of guessing, and keeps the page number on everything it tells you — so any point can be checked against the original in seconds.

  • Any bundle — PDFs, scans, photographs of pages, office documents
  • Four languages — English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu, read in the original script
  • Page-cited — every finding points to the page it came from

Assessment

A reasoned view of the file, with its working shown

The assessment sets out your strongest points and the ones the other side will press, the provisions engaged, the procedural defects, and the authorities — each one checked and linked. The estimate never stands alone: it carries a confidence level worked out from what is actually on the file, and the questions that would move it.

  • Strengths and exposures, ranked, with page references
  • Questions the papers cannot answer — answer them and re-run
  • “What if”: test how a new document or fact changes the picture

Bench insights

How has this judge decided questions like yours?

Choose the High Court and the judge — or let Litora read the CORAM from your latest order. Ask your question in English, pick the last one to five years, and Litora reads that judge’s published judgments on it: the facts, what was decided and why. The percentage is counted from those judgments, never guessed.

  • Every judgment shown is real and opens in full

Hearing preparation

Rehearse before the bench does it for you

Speak your argument against a two to ten minute clock while the bench cuts in with questions drawn from the file. You get a score on clarity, structure, use of the record and answering the bench — with the strong points you never made and a better opening. Or run the full hearing: your advocate, theirs, and a bench that gives reasons.

  • Voice rehearsal with a scored report
  • A full argued hearing, citing only real, linked judgments
  • Ask any question of the file and get the page it comes from

Trial & grounds

Test every ingredient before the court does

Each offence is broken into its ingredients from the words of the provision and set against the evidence on file — “no evidence” in red. Upload each day’s deposition and it is set against the earlier statements; the medical evidence is set against the eye-witnesses; every exhibit is kept with its objections. Then the grounds are drafted, lettered, each with its page.

  • Ingredients matrix — for discharge, quashing, bail or final argument
  • Deposition tracker & exhibit register — a trial log for every witness
  • Medical evidence — the time of death worked out by arithmetic, not guessed
  • Grounds builder — appeal, revision, quashing, bail, discharge or writ

Every tool is also named by the question it answers — “What will the other side argue?”, “What is wrong with the order?” — with a line saying when to use it. Or type the situation into the search, in English or Hindi: “bail”, “zamanat”, “revision”, “jirah”.

How it works

From bundle to hearing in four steps

No setup, no training, no templates to fill. If you can upload a PDF, you can use it.

Open the matter

Name it, choose the court — State, district and complex, or High Court, bench and judge — and set the question to be decided.

Upload the bundle

Drop in everything as it is. Reading starts at once, page by page, and you can watch it progress.

Say what you are preparing for

Bail or anticipatory bail, the trial, a hearing, an appeal, revision or quashing, advising the client — Litora lists the steps in the right order, from the assessment to the rehearsal.

Follow the next step

Every screen shows the one thing to do next and why. Every result comes as a PDF or Word file, or straight into Word — and Court Mode takes it to the hearing.

The full walkthrough

Two ways to work

Just chat with the file — or open the full workspace

Switch with one click at the top of every page. Both work on the same matters, documents and results, so nothing is ever lost.

Simple mode

One chat per matter

  • Drop the papers in and say what you need — every page is read first.
  • Answers from the file only, with the document and page for every point.
  • A bigger job is offered with its price — nothing is spent until you press Start, and you can cancel.
  • Everything already done sits under the matter in the side menu, one click away.
Advanced mode

The full workspace

  • Every matter with its tabs — documents, analysis, contradictions, preparation and argument.
  • Guided plans with a Next step that says what to do and why.
  • Every preparation tool, the trial room and Court Mode on your phone.
  • Team, senior review, counsel briefs and ethical walls.

Built to be checked

Work you can stand behind in court

Legal work is only useful if it can be verified. Litora is built so that every claim it makes can be traced to a page of your file or to a real judgment.

Real, linked judgments

Only judgments that were actually found may be cited, and every one opens in full. Anything else is removed.

Page references

Findings point to the page they come from, so you can check the original in seconds.

Confidence, shown

Worked out from what is on the file — not asked of the model — and lowered when key papers are missing.

Confidential

Encrypted, scoped to your chambers, with ethical walls for sensitive matters, never sold or shared, and deleted when you delete it.

Check any citation, free

Paste a petition or written submissions and every judgment citation and section is checked. No sign-up.

Signed off by a person

A senior approves each result or sends it back as a task, and who signed off what stays on the record.

Questions

What advocates ask first

There are many tools — how do I know which one to use?

You do not need to. On each matter, say what you are preparing for — bail or anticipatory bail, the trial, a hearing, an appeal, revision or quashing, advising the client — and Litora lists the steps in the right order. A “Next step” bar on every screen says what to do next and why. Every tool is also named by the question it answers, with a line saying when to use it.

Does it replace an advocate?

No. It prepares material for a qualified advocate to review, test and settle. Nothing it produces is legal advice, and nothing should be filed or relied on without that review.

Can it really read a scanned FIR or a handwritten statement?

Yes — scanned pages, photographs and mixed Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu and English are read in their own script. Where a line is genuinely illegible it is marked as illegible, never guessed at. Check any number or date you intend to rely on against the original page.

Are the judgments it cites real?

Yes. Judgments are found first and only those may be cited; each one is a link to the full text, and any other case name is removed before you see it. A real judgment can still be misread — open it before it goes near a filing.

Does the percentage predict the result?

No. The assessment estimate is a reading of prospects on the papers supplied, with its confidence and reasoning shown. The bench percentage is a count from the judge’s published judgments. Neither is a forecast, and neither should be repeated to a client as a number in its own right.

Can my juniors and clerks use it too?

Yes. Add them from Team & Tasks as Advocate, Junior / Associate or Clerk (view only) — seats are free and all work is paid from one wallet. Give them tasks with due dates, and choose whether each member sees every matter or only their own.

Does it work with Word and our document store?

Yes. The Litora add-in for Microsoft Word puts your preparation at the cursor, quotes the file with the page and checks every citation in the document. Papers can be added straight from Google Drive, OneDrive or SharePoint, and recordings — call recordings, CCTV sound, voice notes — are transcribed with the time of every line.

What happens to my client’s material?

It is stored encrypted, visible only inside your organisation, sent to our AI provider only to be read, and never sold or shared. You can delete a matter at any time. The details are on the security page.
