Accuracy policy

No invented authority. No invented quotation.

AI can be wrong. So nothing Litora AI shows you as a quotation, a case or a statute reaches you until it has been checked by machine against the source — and anything that fails the check is withheld, not guessed.

The three checks

What is checked, and how

Every quotation from your papers

When a point rests on your documents, the AI must give the document, the page and the exact words. Code then looks for those words on that page. If they are not there, the quotation is not shown and the point is marked “no page found — check”. Each tool tells you how many quotations were checked and how many failed.

Every case cited

A judgment is shown only if its citation (SCC, AIR, SCR, Cri LJ, SCC OnLine, INSC and the regional reporters) is found in the case-law index on a judgment whose own title names the same parties. Anything else is replaced by “authority withheld — not verified”, and every judgment that passes opens in full, so you can read the paragraph before you rely on it.

Every provision cited

A section, article or order is ticked only if the Act is one we know — the IPC and BNS, CrPC and BNSS, the Evidence Act and BSA, the CPC, the Constitution and the main central Acts — and the provision exists in it. The old and new criminal codes are shown side by side. Anything else is shown marked “check the Act”.

Every point has a “Why”

Each point the trial tools make carries the reasoning behind it and the pages it rests on, one click away — so you can test it rather than trust it.

We test before we change anything

Before a new AI model or a new prompt goes live, it is run against a set of reference files whose answers advocates have checked, and the share of correctly cited answers is compared with the version in use. A change that makes it worse does not go live.

The decision is yours

Litora AI organises, tests and drafts. It does not decide what to plead, what to advise or what to file. Check every point against the original papers before you rely on it — that is your professional duty, and we built the tools to make it quick.

What we cannot check

Commentary, practitioner texts and law reports are not checked, so they are not cited. A judgment whose citation and parties cannot be matched in the case-law index is withheld rather than guessed. A summary or an inference (as opposed to a quotation) is the AI’s reading of the papers: the pages are shown so you can confirm it.

Tell us when we are wrong

If you find a point that is wrong, a quotation that is not on the page, or a citation that slipped through, write to contact@litoraai.com. Every report is investigated and added to the reference set.
